The urban furniture Tree is an interpretation of the familiar linden tree. Since time immemorial individual linden trees have been planted as the central point for all manner of gatherings. Beneath them people would play music, dance, and celebrate, but various events and court sessions were also held under the protective, culturally significant tree.

The passenger shelter serves as a central meeting point and affords protection from the weather. It also adapts to cityscapes that have grown organically, while setting accents of its own. With its open, light aura, Tree underscores a city’s identity. The central column accommodates the display and transparent areas and provides passengers with interactive timetable information.
