Scan and Ride.

The 5th generation of the new "Call a Bike" rental bike from the german national railway company "Deutsche Bahn" focuses on modern, innovative design and intelligent networking. The bike design, developed by Scholz & Volkmer in collaboration with Barski Design, combines suitability for everyday use and robustness with durability and value at Deutsche Bahn level. The signature design interprets the future thinking of the coming e-bike generation and is very easy to identify even from a distance.

The new bike model has some technical innovations. To rent, instead of entering the bike number, a QR code can also be scanned with the app. LED lights reveal whether the bike is available from afar. Photovoltaic cells on the bottom of the robust front luggage rack give the bike an ecological look and supply the smart lock with CO2-neutral electricity.

Tree FGU

The urban furniture Tree is an interpretation of the familiar linden tree. Since time immemorial individual linden trees have been planted as the central point for all manner of gatherings. Beneath them people would play music, dance, and celebrate, but various events and court sessions were also held under the protective, culturally significant tree.

The passenger shelter serves as a central meeting point and affords protection from the weather. It also adapts to cityscapes that have grown organically, while setting accents of its own. With its open, light aura, Tree underscores a city’s identity. The central column accommodates the display and transparent areas and provides passengers with interactive timetable information. In Arnsberg and Bonn since 2009.
