SensorControl is a self-sufficient sprinkler system and the result of a design study focusing on the interplay between user experience and user interface: The domestic living environment is changing more and more these days. The role of the garden has also changed considerably. For most people, it has long since ceased to be a source of livelihood and is no longer primarily used to provide food. Nevertheless, it is still very important to many people.

SensorControl wants to meet the individual demands placed on its own garden. In urban areas in particular, gardens are often used for recreation and relaxation. However, caring for it is time-consuming and has to be reconciled with work and family requirements. In order to meet these watering needs, the focus of this design study is on handling and operation. The result is a smart sprinkler control system that uses photovoltaics and smart sensor technology, which is easy and user-friendly to program - even for non-experts - and operates autonomously.
