3D drawing tools for VR

Welcome to the third dimension.

When using a drawing program, children lift the mouse up from the pad in order to move the cursor upwards on the screen. That’s the first step into the third dimension“, according to Olaf Barski. Together with the Frauenhofer Institute for Graphic Data Processing, Barski Design has developed the Cyberstone drawing instrument as part of a series. Instead of drawing on the screen with a 3D program, Cyberstone makes it possible to draw freehand in space. A camera based tracking system locates the position of the tool via infrared and supports drawing accurate 3D perspectives. The other 3D input tools – namely Cyberstilo, tape finger and PIP personal interactive panel – work according to the same principle.
