Keynote at the 12th medtech in Mainz.

On 8 May 2025, the 12th medtech Rhineland-Palatinate will take place in the Alte Lokhalle in Mainz under the motto ‘How medical technology is reinventing itself through impulses from design and digital technologies.’ Two highlights in the morning: Prof Dr Matthias Vette-Steinkamp with his presentation on ‘Circular design as an opportunity for sustainable medical technology’. Olaf Barski will then provide insights into the professional design development of sustainable medical devices under the title ‘Well thought-out user experience design’. Elke Butzen-Wagner from the Rhineland-Palatinate Innovation Agency and Karolina Nadjafi from the Interdisciplinary Centre for Clinical Studies (IZKS) at Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz will moderate the panel discussion. Daniela Bublitz will moderate the event.
